Aloha

QUESO....I just got back from Kauai, it was a nice break from an otherwise douchy summer, though I would not go back. I know some people like the unserviced island bit, condo living, nature and less touristy, and I know some people really enjoy cheeseburgers, greasy fish and french fries, but I get sick of it all. Maui will remain champion in my Hawaii battle. There is the opportunity to live the lonely island lifestyle, and then when you get bored of that, the option of driving into Lahina or some place and grabbing something other than a cheeseburger and surrounding yourself with people and funny shops. Overall though, nice place, nice break from reality...which includes a new job.
NiPilii Coast (or something like that- west side of Kauai)
And the reason we went- my cousin, Jodi's wedding to Carl- Beautiful

NOW, I was away for a bit so there has been some nice work on the house-

Ch ch chchcheck check it out! Custom garage doors are on! The mini door has the "knockers" on it but the big one doesn't (yet). We painted them "stone brown" by BM and the way that the light hits it, it actually looks like real wood. You can't see very well (sorry, blackberry camera), but the doors are done to look like wood panels. The "carriage" features were mandatory to the street we are on, which is sort of lame. Also, the stucco is ready to go on. The bad news is the castle stone we chose is no longer supplied, so we need to pick something new ASAPy.

So that's all, I will leave you with a shot of a bouquet we made with flowers picked from the grounds as well as some of the wedding flowers we stole;) I would love to be able to supply flowers to my home like this, simply by stepping outside and plucking them!
The wedding flowers were the roses and the orchid- we picked the others!
